#15 : CARRIE:

Carrie White is a  smart, religious girl who is raised by her psychotically religious mother (sorry, but I couldn't word it any better). She attends a local high school and for some reason, many students don't like her. One day, after P.E. she is showering and she unexpectedly has that "thing" that girls have every month. Carrie freaks out because her mother had never spoken to her about this. She is teased and humiliated by the girls and they even shoot video of her.

The gym teacher punishes the girls that were involved and one of them, Sue Snell, feels sorry for what she did and asks her boyfriend to take Carrie to the prom instead of her. But another girl that has been banned from the prom, isn't so forgiving and constructs an evil plan with her boyfriend that involves Carrie and a bucket full of pig's blood.
None of the bullies realize that Carrie has the power of telekinesis, the power to move things with your mind. During the prom as she is named queen, the girl who was banned from the prom, along with her accomplices, drops pigs blood on Carrie. It doesn't take long for Carrie to turn from that sweet, innocent little girl to that rage-filled monster !

So whats my intake?
I absolutley LOVE LOVE this movie. I can identify sooo much with Carrie because I was also bullied in middle school and high school so I understood her pain. Another thing we have in common Carrie and I, is that apart from being shy, my mother was also a control freak with me while I was growing up. I love movies where I can identify myself with the character, because I know what it feels like to be in their shoes.

One thing that I do not like about this movie is the ending! (Spoiler Alert lol) Carrie should not have died. She should have gone with Sue and the movie should have ended there. so with this said, I give this movie two big thumbs UP!  =)
Enjoy the movie preview!
