#08 : Texas Chainsaw 3D:

#08 : Texas Chainsaw 3D:

Ok, so the story takes place After the first massacre in 1974. The townspeople suspected that the Sawyer family (Leatherface's family) were responsible. A vigilante mob of enraged locals surrounded the Sawyer house, burning it to the ground and killing every last member of the family.

Decades later a young woman named Heather learns that she has inherited a Texas estate from her grandmother. She decides to bring her friends along on the road trip to invesitgate her inheritance. On arrival she
uncovers she has inherited a mansion but is yet to uncover the terrors that lurk in the basement below it.

So whats my opinion on this film?

*Eddy screams* I HATED IT!!!!!

Ok, I am a  huge Leatherface fan. I had been looking forward to seeing this movie since I saw the trailors. I went when it opened up and well, the ending comes up and I was so unbelievably disappointed.
The movie starts out good, and had some good background information to later understand the present scenes.  Also a HUGE MISTAKE of the movie with the the main character's age (should be at least 40.) Leatherface was turned into this sweet character that you began to feel bad for at the end.

A real scary movie shouldn't make u feel like that...

The thing that disgusted me the most was when the "main character" actually defends Leatherface from the people who want to kill him. I expected Leatherface to DIE at the end. He killed her friends for God's SAKE!!!

Overall, I regret sooo much the money I wasted on this movie. Wish I could turn back time...LOL

#09 : Your Next

#09 : You're Next:

Paul and Aubrey Davison are about to celebrate their wedding anniversary, and they've invited their grown-up children out to the country to share in the celebration. The first to arrive are Crispian and his new girlfriend Erin. It isn't long before the rest of the family has filed in as well, and the party gets under way. Later, at the dinner table,  two of the brothers begin to argue over te past and just as tensions begin to boil up, a crossbow arrow blasts through the glass window and panic sets in.

The family is suddenly under attack! No one is safe as the blood starts to flow, the son in law, then the daughter, then the mother, then the father, and everybody begins to die. Erin is determined to stay alive, and she's got the survival skills to strike back at her attackers with deadly force

I will be honest. I dont like the movie, but I dont hate it either. I love the whole concept to it because it is not your typical horror movie of a man with a knife or an axe that kill a bunch of people who can't act...no..It's diffrent... It has an awsome set.... The masks of the killers were actually pretty creepy... a large cast that portrayed a happy, but troublesome family - The title, while cheesy, is actually quite fun and catchy....

Now, in reguards to the negative things about it: I believe some of the actors in this movie were not even actors at all! They were SOOO HORRIBLE!!! I really disliked that the mother and the father died because of the hands of their stupid son. Reguardless of my review, I would recommend seeing this movie...Not that good, but not bad either.

#10 : Evil Dead

 #10: Evil Dead

This post is about the 2013 version

A trip into the woods turns into a terrifying battle against the forces of evil. Mia is a heroin addict whose most recent overdose was nearly her last. Recognizing that she won't survive another, Mia's longtime friends Olivia and Eric take the troubled girl to her family's old cabin in the woods to quit cold turkey. It isn't their first attempt, but this time they're hoping that with Mia's brother David around;  that Mia will make a full recovery.

David and Eric discover what appears to be the scene of a dark ritual. Scattered amongst the animal corpses and mysterious artifacts is an old book that's been sealed shut with heavy-duty plastic and barbed wire. Intrigued, Eric manages to cut the book free and makes a disturbing discovery -- the book has been bound in human flesh, and it comes with an incantation that will unleash a powerful force of evil.

Eric reads the words aloud, sealing his own dark fate, as well as those of his closest friends. One by one they will be possessed until no soul has been left unclaimed.

I must say I have never seen the original, so I can’t compare.  I really loved this movie because it scared the bleep out of me. I would dare to say that this is probably one of the best horror movies to come out in the last couple of years. The acting wasn't good for the most part, but it is a horror movie, so its forgiven.
There is PLENTY of blood/gore in the movie, and several jump off your seat scenes; an arm being cut off, a hand being ripped off, a hand being blown off, etc. On top of that is, it is deep down spine-chilling. This was a good movie, and better than I expected. I highly recommend it to any horror fan.

#11 : The Curse of Chucky

#11 : The Curse of Chucky (2013):
For this post, I will only be focusing on the very last "Chucky" movie. Later as we get to number 1, I will post my other 2 favorite "Chucky" movies.

Nica, a young woman forced to a wheelchair since birth, has to regroup her sister, Barb and her brother-in-law, Ian for a funeral after the death of her mother.

While dealing with Barb, Ian, along with their 5-year-old daughter, Alice; Nica receives an odd package - a creepy Good Guys doll named Chucky. After Nica's family start showing up dead, the fearless Nica soon suspects that the creepy Good Guys doll is much more than just a doll. Of course we all know it isn't just an ordinary doll; It is Chucky and Chucky means trouble!

I have always been a huge fan of the child's play films except for the last two ones. This film however, brings back the franchise by going back to it's roots and also adding some new twists that makes this film stand out. For a direct to DVD film (which I thought was stupid) it was a very well made film.

It's really hard to make Chucky scary again when so many people are familiar with them but this film does not fail. The kills can be a little over the top but that shouldn't put any horror fan off watching it.
The story is the best thing about this film because it seems to continue from the very first one, which was waaay back in the 80's.

Overall though, this is a truly amazing sequel that deserve a cinema release rather than just a DVD release. It delivers everything that the first film did plus a little more. Oh and it even shows us Andy! Andy, the little boy who starred in the first Child's Play.

ENJOY THE TRAILER!!!

#12 : The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003):

I know there are about 5 movies of these, but I will strictly do the 2003 version. Why? Because its the only one I like out of the other ones they have made. Well, the original was also good, but not as good as this remake.

A group of young adults are on their way to a concert in Dallas. They cross through a small, ghost town named Travis County. As they are driving, they see a troubled woman on the road and decide to pick her up. Once in the van, the woman shoots herself with a gun.

Looking for the local authorities, the group travels through the town, meeting the locals. One by one, they are picked off by a strange man with a demented face.

Realizing that they are in mortal danger, they must escape from the town from a family of cannibals and a chainsaw-wielding madman known as LEATHER FACE!!!

OK, I really did not want to see this movie when it first came out because I had heard it was based on a true story. I had done some research on it and discovered it was all a hoax, but it was based on Ed Gein (A famous American killer and body snatcher). Anyways, I thought this remake was done very well, it was very scary and the killings were very brutal ( Not a fan of the killings).

I loved how Leather face's family was all in on his atrocious killings and how they help him capture their victim. To sum it up, I enjoyed this movie and I dare to say, its better than the original!!!

#13 : The Conjuring:

#13 : The Conjuring:
I was supposed to do this movie in slots 3 or 4, but I saw it yesterday, so I decided today...

BASED ON A TRUE STORY (SUPPOSELY)

Ok so the movie is set In 1971. A man named Roger Perron and his wife Carolyn move to an old farmhouse in Rhode Island with their daughters Andrea, Nancy, Christine, Cindy and April ( back then, families were huge). The family finds a hidden basement which the entrance is locked with planks. Soon they are haunted by noises and ghosts; your classical ghost movie. In desperate cries to help save her and her family, Carolyn meets the famous paranormal investigators Lorraine and Ed Warren.

They visit the house and Lorraine and Ed feel that the house is possessed by evil entities. Their further investigation shows that a witch had sacrificed her baby to the devil and has possessed other mothers that lived in the real estate to kill their children. Lorraine and Ed bring his friends Drew and Brad to help them to collect evidences to convince the Church that it is necessary an exorcism to save The Perron family from these evil entities!!!

So, what do I think of this movie???
Well,  I remember seeing this movie when it first came out in theatres and I screamed like a girl the whole time lol. It takes alot to scare me, but this movie, along with the excorcistOntop of that, the acting was outstanding from the Perron family to the Warrens. The only thing that kind of bothers me is the fact that it resembles many aspects of The Amityville horror, which in real life, The Warrens also took that case. If you are a horror fan and you havent seen this movie, what are you waiting for??? Its a MUST!!!

#14 : House Of Wax

#14 : HOUSE OF WAX:

Ok, so movie number 14 is House of Wax. Basically, A group of friends (Carly Jones, Nick Jones, Paige Edwards, Wade, Dalton Chapman, and Blake) are on their way to an important football game, while along the way, they decide to camp in some woods ( I know, not the best idea lol). The next day Wade's car experiences car troubles with a broken fan belt. Carly and Wade (who are brother and sister) decide to go to the nearest town to get a new fan belt while the rest of the group attempts to go to the game.

When an unbelievably slow traffic jam stops Paige, Dalton, Blake, and Nick, they decide to go back to get Wade and Carly. One by one, the entire group is being killed by two deadly and horrible looking brothers, who are the creators of the town's local, “House of Wax”. Now, Carly and Wade must risk their own lives to escape this town full of Wax.

*Warning, my review contains spoilers*
Ok, I must say that I adore this movie to the max. It has an awesome cast, with the exception of Paris Hilton. The ending is kind of twisted because it is discovered that there are 3 brothers instead of 2 and towards the end, they show the third brother. The movie is gross, because there are is a lot of blood and many gruesome killings, but hey, it is a horror movie. The acting for me was terrific, realistic, and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The only downfall of this movie is Paris Hilton, who I dislike, but the good part is that her character is killed =). I score this movie a 9 out of 10 because it is quite an original movie and it is definitely a must watch.

Now, ENJOY THE TRAILER!!!!
